- The rocks give the photo 3D shape, as the reflection looks more 2D. The blue in the water provides color. There is also contrast between the textures and colors within the photo. The rocks and ripples in the water provides texture.
- I like this photo because of the reflection of the trees and clouds in the water. It was taken at Walden Pond.
- To improve this, I would include more of the reflection of the trees for greater color and contrast.

Pinhole Camera
Define Camera Obscura.
Camera Obscura is a pinhole image. It means dark room in Latin.
Explain the steps to create, expose and process a pinhole camera image:
First, you need a dark box with a small hole for your shutter. You also need light sensitive paper. Then, you put the box out somewhere for a few days to expose it to light. After you take it down, you need to invert and flip the image.
How did you create a shutter and aperture on your pinhole camera body?
The aperture is created by the hole size. The tape is the shutter of the camera.
What was the focal length of the cameras?
21.28 mm is the focal length of the cameras.
Where did you place your camera and what was your exposure time?
I placed my camera on a pole in front of the school. I left my camera out for 5 days.
What was the light source for the exposure?
The sun was the light source.
After taking down your camera and seeing the results, how did the image appear on the light sensitive paper?
The image appeared flipped horizontally and inverted.
Explain the steps you took to "process" your pinhole negative with the scanner and Photoshop.
We put the negative in the scanner, and then we brought it to photoshop. We flipped the image horizontally and inverted the image. We also adjusted the levels.
Finally, what surprised you about your results? If you could re-do the process, what would you do differently to change your results?
I was surprised how clear my image came out. I would not change my results of my camera.

Pinhole At Home
Where did you place the pinhole camera outside of school?
I placed my pinhole camera in my window facing the across my street.
How many days did you leave the camera out?
I lift my pinhole out for around 6-7 days.
How did light, weather, location and time impact your results?
The location was stable, so my picture was not too blurry. The time allowed the picture to come out sharper. It was not too bright, so the image is lightly dark.
What changes (if any) did you make to modify your camera before taking the second image?
I did not change anything.
Compare your out of school pinhole image to your first in school image:
What is similar and different about the images?
My OOS image is cleaner, because the shavings from filing the hole was on my first image. I also left this pinhole camera out longer than the first one.
What is better or worse about the results of either image?
This image is better than the first one, because it is sharper and clearer than the first one.
